Liverpool tallied another impressive victory in their latest Premier League fixture, this time around beating Sheffield United 2-0 on the night.
But even though the Reds continued their march towards the title in style – recording a record for passes in a Premier League match – not everything was perfect for Jurgen Klopp’s troops.
The club have now confirmed that Naby Keita has suffered a groin injury in the warm-up on Thursday night and won’t be available for the upcoming FA Cup clash against their rivals, Everton.

Their gaffer confirmed so himself, as quoted by their official website:
“I don’t know exactly what he has – it was the groin – but I can say already he will not be involved against Everton.”
Upon seeing this injury update, the fans had all sorts of reactions. A few were disappointed to see that Keita has suffered yet another injury. This is his second one in 2019/20 and he had three more last season as well.
But others were not as forgiving as they demanded Keita is sold.
One fan even said that he is a waste of talent and that Liverpool should be looking to cut their losses.
However, there were also fans who managed to put a positive spin on the injury, claiming this will be the perfect opportunity to give their new signing Takumi Minamino a shot in the team.
