Jordan Hugill’s deadline-day arrival at West Ham United has divided opinion among the fanbase.
For many weeks, the East London outfit were linked with numerous attacking players.
In the end, though, the club recruited Hugill from Preston North End, with numerous reports claiming that he cost about £8m.
The 25-year-old has put pen to paper on a four-and-a-half-year contract, which will keep him at the London Stadium until the summer of 2022.
Hugill arrives at the club with a fairly good record having scored 10 goals in 29 appearances in all competitions for Preston this season.
An overwhelming number of West Ham fans were angered by the signing, with many claiming that the forward is not the right calibre of player that the club should be targeting.
Hugill has tried to win over some of the supporters by insisting in an interview that he will give the maximum effort for the club.
Some fans have changed their tune, but others are still not convinced that he is the right man.
