With the Reds keeping close tabs on their new signing for 2025, he is certainly doing his job as Valencia, who were seconds away from slumping to their seventh loss of the season – though they are still bottom of the La Liga table with just seven points from their opening 11 games. Mamardashvili's arrival at Anfield may come at the perfect time as the ageing Alisson misses more and more games due to a recurring hamstring injury.
